Male chastity device
Male chastity device
A reader asked me about the best male chastity device a year ago. I penned (keyed?) a missive on my thoughts, posted it online, and moved on.
Then, something funny happened. People Google "best male chastity device" a lot, and this site does well in those searches due to its longevity and narrow topic. That post I published one afternoon without much fanfare became one of the most popular every day.
My 15-month-old conclusions are wrong. So I'll reevaluate the field in this post.
Grey
When people ask me about chastity, they have a specific perspective. They don't want a device for a simple evening romp. They use it like Belle does in our marriage. Semi-permanent thing leading to long-term orgasm denial (long-term defined as longer than a day or a week). They're also (the guys, though sometimes their partners, too) hot and bothered over being locked in the mythical impossible-to-defeat device they can't ever take off OH GOD how horny CAN. I. GET!?
Yes, you can make a trapped-ball device inescapable by getting a Prince Albert piercing. For many guys, that's excessive. Ignore what the guy on Chastity Mansion said; there is no inescapable trapped-ball device. Get 10 Bests Chastity Devices.
I see the device for what it is: a symbol of respect for a previously agreed-upon dynamic.
The best way to enforce male chastity is to have a clear head. Your brain is the best device.
I've worn 12 different chastity devices: CB-6000 (both clear and "chrome" editions, standard tube length), CB-5000, Holy Trainer v1 and v2, Birdlocked Neo/Mr. S Boytrainer 2.0, Steelworxx Steelheart (one larger, one smaller), Steelworxx Looker 02, Mature Metal's Jail Bird (two different devices), and the KHD X3 espresso 3D-printed device. I
I consider cost, comfort, perceived security, hygiene, and stealth when evaluating devices.
Cost
A 3D-printed device costs $100, while a stainless steel one costs thousands. Plastic is best for beginners. Popular is the $150 CB-6000. Holy Trainer is another plastic device. $170 more.
I wouldn't skimp on something that will spend hours and days on your most emotional body part. Buy from reputable retailers and check Google reviews. Cheap devices fail (usually by splitting along seams) and can cause injury or discomfort.
Comfort
Enforced chastity isn't always easy. Devices don't grow genitalia. Not a pain tolerance test. Well-fitted devices should only cause discomfort when an erection is arrested and contained. Depending on your personality, that's not always bad. Nonsense.
Comfort is a personal preference. Some men and/or their jailers inflict erotic pain as part of chastity. Some devices have options to make an erect penis uncomfortable. I don't think these tactics are good for what Belle and I do long-term, but excessive comfort may not be a priority.
Plastic device design has improved. The CB-6000 scores poorly in this category. Its perfectly round rings have sharp edges, gaps, and seams that cause sores. CB6Ks are uncomfortable. Holy Trainer's ergonomic A-ring is superior (the part that goes around the penis and scrotum). Comfortable KHD X3
Steelworxx offers a "bent anatomical ring" to prevent testicular crimping. Mature Metal A-rings are too narrow, but you can get double-width ones (and I think you should). MM's oval option, like Steelworxx's anatomical ring, gives the testes more room. I concur.
Security
I know, I said chastity devices aren't secure. Unless you want a dick hole (which, all by itself, is pretty fucking hot, but totally a personal taste thing). Some devices feel more secure, which can help in the game we should play with the penismeat's inaccessibility.
Fit affects security in large part. A loose, ill-fitting device won't feel secure, but a tight one may be too painful to wear during the fun parts.
Stealth is visible and audible.
In my tests, the Holy Trainer was least visible on the plastic side. Jail Bird and Looker 02 were sneaky metal. I wore the short Trainer tube, and the two metal devices are the same size. Steelheart's solid tube is noticeable. The KHD X3 was also good because it lays flat and protrudes little forward.
If you have kids like I do, audible stealth is important when you're in your pajamas or sweats. The CB-6000's lock clicks as you walk, but the Holy Trainer's is silent. Mature Metal and Steelworxx offer integrated locks (for MM, it's a security screw). KHD X3 has a built-in lock (the same kind as is used on the Trainer and Steelworxx devices).
Integrated locks are also less visible through clothing.
Conclusion
CB-6000 was my old recommendation for beginners. The second-generation Holy Trainer is much better. It's easier to use (only three pieces) and more comfortable. It's more expensive and you must know your ring size before ordering. Breakage also plagues the Holy Trainer. Body heat makes the plastic pliable (though not much).
